Cottage Pie

1 Large Onion1 Large Carrot1 Tbs. Olive Oil1 lb beef cubes1 Tbs. Flour2 large potatoes1/2 C. Beef Broth2 Tbs. Milk (or more)2 Tbs. ButterDash Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Saute one large onion and one large carrot in olive oil. When onions are limp, add 1 lb. beef cubes and 1 Tb flour. Saute. Add 1/2 C. beef stock, salt and pepper and simmer for 20 mins. I also added some Worcestershire sauce. While this simmers, boil 1 lb. potatoes, cubed. Mash when soft and add some milk and butter to make a mash. Place the meat in a pie dish, top with potatoes, baked on 375 for 30 mins. Place under broiler for 5 mins to brown on top.
Serving Size: For very hearty appetites, makes 4-5 servings. For lighter appetites, makes 6 or more.
