Cornish Hens with Kale

Ingredients
1 pound uncooked kale, fresh, trimmed1 cup onion chopped 1/2 cup dried cranberries5 medium carrot sliced into 1/2 inch pieces 8 cloves garlic, sliced Salt & Pepper to taste 2 whole Cornish Game Hens
Directions
1) Trim the stems from the kale and put the leaves into the slow cooker.
2) Layer on the onions, cranberries, carrots, and garlic.
3) Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4) Place whole hens on top. Season as desired. I added some standard poultry herbs.
5) Set slow cooker on low until done. 4-6 hours.
6) Divided into four portions and serve
