Ingredients
Directions
100 grams calf or beef liver (I use a 4 oz. slice)Juice of 1 lemonwater1 cup sliced onion (or more if you wish)1 cup beef broth (more or less as needed)
Cut liver into strips (you can do this while it is still frozen if you like). Marinate the liver in lemon juice with enough water to cover for at least an hour (up to 4 hours) in the fridge.
When ready to cook, cover the bottom of a non-stick skillet with beef broth. Saute onion slices in beef broth until done as you like, adding more beef broth (or some water) as necessary.
Drain the liver, discard marinade. Then add the liver strips to the onions. Continue to saute until as done as you like. (Liver may be eaten rare)
