Chili with Pinto Beans

Ground Beef - 1.5 LBSDry Pinto Beans - 3 CupsGarlic- 3 clovesOnion- 1 cup choppedDiced Tomatoes-1 large canDry Chili Powder- 1 TablespoonDry Cumin- 1 TablespoonBlack Pepper- 1 Tablespoon
place beans in pot and cover with water (just above the bans), soak overnight, drain water.
Cover Beans with water (I use 2 cans of Beer along with the water) to the top of the beans, bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer...(allow to cook for at least an hour before adding beef)
Brown beef in pan with garlic and onions...
Drain Beef and place into pot with beans, add Tomatoes and spices...
Allow to simmer for 2-2.5 hours checking to test tenderness of beans....
