Greek Peas (Arakas)

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil1 onion, diced3/4 cup fresh dill, chopped1 cup carrots, chopped (optional)500 grams frozen peasSalt and Pepper to taste1/2 cup tomato paste1 tbsp sweetener
Directions
Heat oil in medium saucepan. Saute onion and dill until onion is soft. Add carrots and saute a few min longer. Stir in peas and cook stirring often for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, tomato paste, and sweetener and stir to combine. Add enough water to cover all ingredients and boil uncovered over medium heat for 30-40 min until vegetables are tender and sauce has thickened.
