Ingredients
Directions
1 tsp olive oil8 oz stew meat1/2 cup onion5 small to medium size carrots2 medium to large stalks celery2 medium potatoes1 cup Low sodium chicken broth6-8 cups water1 tbsp brown gravy mix1/4 cup corn starch1/2 cup cold water
In skillet, heat olive oil and add stew meat and brown (you do not have to cook until done as it will cook more in the stew). You can add the onion in with the meat if you want also. When meat is browned, put everything in the skillet in the crock pot. While your meat is browning, chop the other vegetables into bite size pieces. Add vegetables into the crock pot also. Add chicken broth and 6-8 cups of water. Let cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. To thicken: in a separate cup mix cold water with corn starch and brown gravy mix until no clumps (if you need more water feel free to use it). Pour into stew and stir. Allow to cook for about 5 to 10 min before serving.
