Bisquick Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients
1lb lean ground beef1 large onion, chopped1/2 tsp. salt1 cup shredded cheddar cheese1/2 cup Bisquick1 cup milk2 eggs
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Brown ground beef and onion together until meat is cooked. Mix in salt. Spread in bottom of glass baking pan. Sprinkle cheese on top.

In a separate bowl, mix together Bisquick, milk and eggs (mixture is supposed to be runny). Pour mixture over meat and cheese.

Bake in oven 25 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

Makes 6 servings.

    Just made this tonight. For more flavor I added 1 chopped raw jalapeno that I browned with the meat and onions. Added a very nice flavor (and little to no spice) for those who felt the recipe was lacking something. Very good. Will make again. - 6/5/15

    i put tater on the bottom than added bacon, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard onion and pickles poured the filling on top and then added the topping...now that was a bacon cheeseburger with fries! - 1/22/14

    I substitute one can of salmon for the hamburger and add swiss cheese, diced celery and garlic. Delish! You can also do with canned chicken or ham. Add broccoli and bacon with the ham. Be sure to layer your meat and cheese, otherwise all the cheese will be on top and not mixed in.
