Rita's spicy artichoke dip

Ingredients
Baconolive oilshallotsgarlicartichokes frozenmascarpone soft cheesesour creammayolemon juice to tastesalt and paper to tastetabasco sauce to tasteParmesan- Roman o Cheese or Sharp Provolone cheese for grating
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Butter a 9-inch pie pan or a 1-quart baking dish.

Cook bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels. crumble bacon into small pieces. Set aside. Add shallots, garlic, artichokes, salt and pepper. Cook for about 8-10 minutes

Place the vegetables and 1/2 of the bacon into a food processor. Add the mascarpone cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and tabasco .Blend until combined, about 2-3 minutes. Place the dip in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining bacon pieces. Cook for 10 minutes.
