French inspired Beef stew

1 parsnip diced2 medium carrots diced1 medium potato diced1 large turnip diced.75lb of stewing beef1tbsp white flour1/2 cup red wine1 oxo beef cube4 cups of water1 cup mushroom pieces2tbsp butter1tbsp of garlic powder1tbsp of onion powder1tsp of herbs of Provence 1 dash of saltGround pepper to taste
Dice all root vegetables. Season beef with salt and pepper and add to a hot dutch oven with your 2 tbsp of butter. Cook meat until brown, add in 1 tbsp of flour and stir around. Add in at this point all of your diced vegetables, red wine and cook for 2 minutes before adding in your beef cube and hot water. Cook on medium low heat for 75 minutes until vegetables are tender and stew is thickened. Bon appetite!
