Lime-Cilantro Black Bean soup

Ingredients
2 cans black beans2 cups chicken broth1 cup salsa2 tsp cumin1/4 cup chopped onion1/4 cup lime juice1 tsp olive oilchopped cilantro
Directions
Saute the onions in the oil. Put everything else except for one can of black beans into a blender, and puree. Pour mixture into the pot with the sauteed onions. Add the remaining, whole black beans, and heat through. Serve with Cilantro for garnish

    Would never have thought of using salsa in a soup and it works well. Have done as written and it is great, also did again with adding chopped red bell pepper, mushrooms to step in for one of the can of beans. Lime juice is great in this. - 5/24/17
