Pasta with Peas & Bacon

Ingredients
* Bacon, 4 medium slices, sliced into 1/2" pieces * Shallots, 3 tbsp chopped (remove) * Peas, frozen, 1 package (10 oz) (remove) * Half and Half Cream, 1 cup (remove) * Coarse ground salt & pepper * Pasta, cooked, 18 oz (remove)
Directions
* Set large pot of salted water to boil. In large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy, 5-7 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel to drain. Leave drippings in the skillet.
* Add shallots to skillet, cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally until they begin to soften, about 1-2 minutes. Add peas and half and half. Season with salt & pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 2-4 minutes.
* Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente, Drain & reserve 1/2 c of the pasta water & return pasta to pot.
* Pour sauce over pasta, toss to combine, adding some reserved water a little at a time to coat to your desired consistency. Sprinkle with bacon and serve immediately.
