for buns:4 cups white flour3 Tbsp sugar1.5 Tbsp salt3 Tbsp I can't believe it's not butter1 packet active dry yeast1/2 cup skim milk1 cup warm waterFilling:1 lb. 99% lean ground chicken1 lb. 96% lean ground beef1/2 cup diced onion2 cups manwich sauce
Warm milk, water and I can't believe it's not butter. Dissolve yeast. Stir in sugar and salt. Add flour until stiff dough forms. Knead til smooth. Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled. Punch down. Divide into 12 portions.
While dough is rising, make filling by browning onions and meat. Add manwich sauce.
Spoon sauce into buns, sealing buns around the meat and sauce. Place on greased baking sheet and let rise another 30-45 minutes.
Bake at 425 for about 20 minutes.
