Easy Macaroni and Cheeze

Ingredients

1 pound of elbow noodles1 1/4 cups water1 cup plain, fat-free soymilk (may use other non-dairy milk)3/4 cup nutritional yeast3 tablespoons cornstarch or potato starch1 tablespoon lemon juice1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon onion powder1/2 teaspoon dry mustard1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika1/2 teaspoon turmericpinch cayenne pepper1 teaspoon mellow white miso (I used additional salt)black pepper to taste
1. Cook pasta as usual package directions tell you to.
2. While waiting for the pasta, blend all remaining ingredients in a blender.
3. Remove the pasta when it is al dente, saving about 1/2 cup of water from the pot.
4. Return pasta to the pot and stir in the cheeze mixture.
5. Sitr until the pasta is evenly coated, adding some of the reserved water if the cheeze is too thick.
Makes 8 servings, 1 cup each.
