Bob Harper's Marinara

Ingredients
1 tbsp EVOO1 small yellow onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, crushed1 c low sodium vegetable broth32 oz. low sodium canned crushed tomatoes1 bay leaf1/4 c roughly chopped fresh basil
Directions
1. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium -high heat. Add the onion and saute until translucent about 10 minutes. Add the garlic and stir. 2. Add the broth, tomatoes, and bay leaf. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat until the sauce thickens, about 1 hour. 3. Remove and discard the bay leaf. Stir in the basil.
