Hearty Beef & Veggie Soup from Scratch

Ingredients
Chop up onion--1 cup & add to pot with 8 oz of 10% fat/90% lean ground beef. Allow to brown until onion is clear. Add 1 1/2 C frozen veggies, 1 C peppers, and 2 C water. Bring to boil & reduce heat to simmer. Stir. Add garlic powder, basil, and red peppers to taste. Add 2 C sliced mushrooms. Cook till mushrooms are tender. Makes 2 full meal servings or 4 appetizer servings.
Directions
Heat to boiling, then reduce to simmer.
