Asparagus Soup

Asparagus, fresh, 5 cup, cut into 1/2" piecesHam, extra lean, (5% fat), 3 cup, diced Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Garlic, 2 cloves Thyme, fresh, 3 tsp Parsley, dried, 1 tbsp Salt, 1 tbsp Pepper, black, 1 tsp Half and Half Cream, 4 fl oz
Place ham in large pot and cover with water. Cook for 30 minutes. Add vegetable to soup stock; simmer until done.
10 minutes before serving add parsley, thyme, salt and pepper.
Add cream, if desired, just before serving.
Serving Size: Makes approximately 10-12 1 cup servings
