Chocolate and Walnut Banana Bread

Ingredients
1 Stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature1/2 C sugar1 egg1 tsp vanilla2 large ripe bananas, mashed1/2 C reduced fat sour cream1 C all-purpose white flour2 T unsweetened cocoa powder1 tsp baking soda1/4 tsp salt1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips1/2 C walnuts, coarsely choppedTools:Set of measuring cups and spoons2 medium mixing bowls1 large mixing bowlHand mixerWire wiskRubber spatula9x5 loaf panParchment paper (optional)Serrated knife
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and generously grease your loaf pan.
In medium mixing bowl, lightly beat egg with a wire wisk and stir in smashed bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Set aside.
In another medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl on medium speed until fluffy (about 3 mins). Beat in banana mixture until fully incorporated. Slowly add dry ingredients and mix for 2-3 minutes until very smooth. Stir in chips and nuts.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick tests clean.
Cool on wire rack for 10-15 minutes.
Carefully remove from pan, slice and serve.
