Masoor Dal with bell peppers

Ingredients
1 cup lentils1 bell pepper diced/cubed1/2 cup red onions sliced/diced1/2 cup tomatos, finely cubed1tbsp ginger garlic paste ***1-2 green chiles, diced1 tsp cumin seeds/powder1 cinnamon stick***.5 tsp turmeric powder1 tbsp coriander.5 tsp black pepper1 tsp red chili powder1 tsp garam masala1 tbsp olive oilsalt to taste***did not have paste so used 2 cloves fresh minced garlic and .5 tsp ginger. also did not have a stick of cinnamon so used 1 tsp
Directions
soak lentils for 1/2 hr then parboil and drain, set aside.
Heat oil in pan, add cumin, cinnamon and ginger garlic. After a min. add onions and bell pepper til browned.
Add turmeric, chili powder, black pepper and coriander. After a min, add tomato and cook til it forms into a paste.
Add lentils, season w/ salt and garam masala. Cover and cook until lentils are tender but not mush. . . about 10 min.
