Ingredients:Beef, bottom sirloin, tri-tip roast, trimmed, 1/3 lb diced fineMushrooms, fresh or frozen, 1/2 c. slicesGarlic, 3 cloves 4/3 c. elbow macaronisalt, pepper, and fresh basil1 Tbsp Olive oil--- (optional)1 Tbsp white flour + 1/3 c. water
Boil macaroni in salted water according to package directions. Meanwhile, dice the sirloin into quite small pieces, along with the garlic. Put into a saucepan with the warmed olive oil. Add frozen mushrooms and seasonings (to taste), along with a sprig of fresh basil. Cover loosely with a sheet of foil and cook on medium low heat until cooked through. Broth may be thickened with flour paste as desired; combine with cooked macaroni. Makes two generous lunch portions.
