Crock Pot Oatmeal with Apples and Cinnamon

2 apples 1/3 cup brown sugar1 teaspoon cinnamonDash of salt2 cups old-fashioned (not quick) rolled oats2 cups milk (I used 2%)2 cups waterButter, oil, or non-stick cooking spray
Coat sides of slow cooker with coconut oil, butter, or non-stick cooking spray
Peel, core, and chop apples, put in bottom of crock pot. Sprinkle over them the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the rolled oats, then add the milk and the water. Do not stir.
Turn slow cooker to low, and cook overnight (about 6 to 8 hours). Serve hot with milk or cream as desired.
Serving Size: Makes about 7 3/4-cup servings
