German Sweet & Sour Cucumbers

Ingredients
5 oz. canned Evaporated Milk3/4 cup Granulated Sugar1/4 cup Cider Vinegar3 medium Cucumbers (peeled)1 small Onion, sliced thin
Directions
Slice cucumbers and onions and soak in salt water 30 minutes. In the meantime make sauce:
Mix well a small can evaporated milk with about 3/4 cup sugar. Add about 1/4 cup vinegar, a little at a time, stirring constantly until thickened. Add more vinegar to taste for sweet/sour taste. Squeeze cucumbers and onions and add to sauce mixture. Chill until ready to serve.
