Ingredients
Directions
1 onion, chopped1 Tbsp olive oil1/2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar1 apple, grated (I left the peel on for the extra fiber)1 egg or egg replacementTbsp Worcestershire sauce (soy sauce would work too)1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp garlic powderDried herbs: 1/2 tsp thyme, rosemary, sage, & Tbsp parsley1/3 cup panko bread crumbs (can replace with oats or rice)1 lb ground turkey (I used 94% lean)
-Add chopped onion to pan with oil. Heat over medium high for 5 minutes. Add the vinegar and stir. Cook another 15 minutes stirring a few times.
-Mix together all ingredients except turkey in a large bowl. Work in the turkey with your hands until thoroughly combined but don't over do it.
-Shape into 5 patties and grill 6 minutes per side or until internal temp reaches 165.
