Whole wheat pita pockets1 pound lean ground turkey/beef1 can fat free refried beans1 cup of skim milk grated mexican or pepper jack cheese1 tsp cumin1 tsp minced garlic1 tsp chili powder1 tsp red pepper flakes1 jar of salsaOptional ingredients: tomatoes, onions, cilantro, black olives, jalapenos, lettuce, sliced avocado
Prepare your turkey meat or ground beef adding cumin, minced garlic, chili powder and red pepper flakes. Drain. Spread refried beans on Pita, add turkey/ground beef covering most of the pita. Cover with cheese and salsa. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Add optional ingredients...
