1 (3-5) pound beef roast3-5 whole cloves garlic (depending on the weight of the beef roast�one clove per pound)1 (12 oz.) bottle beer (I used Angry Orchard Hard Cider Apple Ginger)3 dashes Worcestershire sauce� teaspoon each of salt and pepperCORNSTARCH THICKENER INGREDIENTS1-teaspoon instant coffee2 Tablespoons cornstarch� cup water� teaspoon each of salt and pepper
1. Place beef roast in slow cooker. Poke holes in roast in stuff each clove into the holes.
2. Add all other ingredients.
3. Cook on LOW for 7 hours
4. Transfer juices to a saucepan, bring to simmer and add the CORNSTARCH THICKENER to thicken them.
5. Pour thickened juices over the top of the beef roast before serving.
