Sticky Slow Cooker Chicken Drumsticks

8 chicken legs 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 teaspoon dried thyme1/2 teaspoon black pepper3 cloves garlic, chopped1 large onion, chopped 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce 1/2 cup honey2 tablespoons cider vinegar 1/2 cup brown sugar
Place the chicken legs in the bottom of a slow cooker insert. Sprinkle the chili powder, thyme, and pepper over the chicken. Add the garlic and onions, then pour over the liquids along with half cup water. Add the brown sugar and cover.
Cook on high for four hours, stirring every hour or so, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Add additional water if the sauce gets too sticky.

Loved this meal, I had the one drumstick along with some salad and some corn for starch. The meat was falling of the bone when I was ready to serve, I had to add some spices to it because my family "needs more flavor" but w/o the extras it was a wonderful taste. Definitely a favorite. :-) - 1/6/15
