Homemade Bagels - Plain

4 C bread flour (any flour will do)1 tbsp Sugar1.5 tsp Salt1 tbsp vegetable oil2 tsp Instant Yeast1.5 C Water
1. Combine 2 c flour, sugar, yeast and salt in mixer.
2. Add oil tot he water and pour into the mixing bowl. Mix util smooth and creamy looking.
3. Add remaining flour and continue to knead with dough hok for several minutes until dough is uniform and smooth.
4. Cut inot 8 equal sized balls and let sit 15 - 20 min. Dough will puff up. Preheat oven to 425 F.
5. Roll each peice into a long "snake": and from into a a circle. Fuse well. Let sit 20 min.
6. Bring pot of water to a boil. Boil bagels each side 1 min. Let dry and place on an oiled baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Flip bagels and bake 10 mintues more.
Serving Size: Makes 8 bagels
