Water, tap, 6-8 cup (8 fl oz)Pinhead or Steel Cut Oats, dry, 2.5 cup Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz Ground beef, lean, 16 oz Onions, raw, 1 large, choppedSalt, 1 tbspPepper, black, 1 tsp2-3 bay leaveshot pepper (crushed or ground) to taste
in slow cooker, heat 6 cups water for 20 min on high.
add oats and cook for 1.5 hours on high
Add meat, onion and bay leaves, stir and cook for 3 hours on low, add water if it gets too thick or cook for a little longer without lid if not thick enough.
Pour into bread pans and store in refrigerator (can slice and freeze individual slices after chilling for 5 hours).
To serve, pan fry slices in a little vegetable oil to serve
