Oatmeal energy cookies

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce1/2 cup white sugar1/4 cup brown sugar1 egg1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour1 t. baking soda1 t. cinnamon1/8 t. nutmeg1/2 t salt3 cups oatmeal1c chocolate chips
Directions
preheat oven to 350 degrees F

In a med bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until fluffy. Add the applesauce, egg and vanilla beat well.

In a large bowl combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and chocolate chips.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix.

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an un-greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
