Cranberry Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients
1 C Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal1 C Whole Wheat Flour)1/4 C Splenda,)1/2 tsp Salt 4 tsp Baking Powder1 Egg, 1 C Milk, 1%3 Tbs Applesauce, unsweetened1 Tbs Canola Oil1/3 C Ocean Spray, Craisins Original Sweetened Dried Cranberries
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl mix the wet ingredients. Stir the wet into the dry, mixing just to combine. Pour into a greased 8" square pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned and when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

    It makes a wonderful snack or breakfast bread. I used whole cranberries because I had some I needed to use up, and that made the squares more tart --- but tasty. And it's hearty. Will use craisins next time, or maybe blueberries. - 6/30/19
