Hearty Pumpkin Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients
1 C Steel Cut Oatmeal1 can of Pumpkin Puree3 C of Water1/4 C of Walnut or Pecan Pieces1 teas Nutmeg (fresh ground is best)1 teas Cinnamon
Directions
Place the oatmeal and water in a pot, bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer; cook for 25 minutes. Stir periodically.
Add the remaining ingredients, and cook for 10-15 more minutes, or until the desired consistency is achieved. You will need to stir frequently in the final 10 minutes of simmering to avoid scorching.
Remove from heat and serve hot; or allow to cool and place into individual serving containers and you will have oatmeal available for breakfast for the work week.
