Fresh Marinara Sauce with Basil

Ingredients
4 Tbs olive oil1 mid-sized onion, chopped1 750g package of Pomi strained tomatoes1 package of SplendaSea salt and fresh ground pepper to tasteHandful of fresh basil leaves, chopped
Directions
1. Heat the olive oil in a larger pan. Add the finely diced onions and sauté until translucent, then add the strained tomatoes. Season with sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and a packet of Splenda to balance’ acidity of the
tomatoes.

2.Let it cook lightly for about 15 minutes and add more salt and pepper if necessary.

3. Just before serving, add a handful of roughly chopped basil.
