Introduction
I've been making this recipe since I was a kid. Grandma taught me everything I know. This is sure to please everyone. It goes quick, so you might want to double the recipe. Makes 2 pies. Ingredients

Dough:
2 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp cornmeal
2 Tbsp whole wheat flour
2 cups unbleached flour
3/4 cup water (plus an additioanl 1 or 2 Tbsp if the mixture is dry & crumbly after 10 minutes of kneading)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 can of tomato sauce (or homemade sauce), 1/4 can per pizza
1 package of Mozzarella cheese, shredded (I usually don't use it all, but close), 1/2 per pizza
Directions
In large bowl mix ingredients with hands, knead & let rest for 10 minutes in bowl covered with kitchen towel. When done, split dough.
Form dough into shape of cookie sheet.
Swirl sauce on, not too thick or pizza get soggy.
sprinkle on mozzarella, add additional toppings if wanted & cook at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes on bottom rack.
remove from oven, let sit couple minutes to firm up, then cut each pie into 8 slices.

Depending on how thick you make your pizza crust, as well as how big, this recipe does not make two pizzas. Another thing, you have to follow the ingredients exactly and you need to find a cheese and sauce that works for you. Other than that, this is a good recipe and I would recommend it to anyone. - 2/5/10
