Super Bowl Chili

1 T canola oil3 garlic cloves, chopped1 lb stewing beef, 1/2" cubes1 md yellow onion, chopped1 C celery, chopped1/2 green bell pepper, choped1 red shepherd or 1/2 red bell peper, chopped1 pk Old El Paso chili seasoning1 cn mushroom stems and pieces, partly drained1 cn Heinz chili style kidney beans1 cn diced tomatoes
Heat oil in wok or dutch oven. Add garlic and let brown. Stir in beef and cook until browned. Add onions and celery. Cook just until onions are translucent.
Add mushrooms with about 1/2 the packing water and chili mix. Let cook about 5 minutes.
Add chili beans, peppers and tomatoes. Let simmer until thick.
