Paleo Apple Crisp (Grain/Gluten/Dairy/Egg free)PREP TIME: 10 minCOOK TIME: 45 minTOTAL TIME: 55 minYIELD: 6DIFFICULTY: easyRECIPE TYPE: Dessert, TreatIngredients:2 large Apples1/4 c Almond meal1/3 c dessicated Coconut (finely shredded)1 Tbsp Cinnamon1/4 tsp Allspice3 Tbsp pure Maple Syrup4 Tbsp Coconut oil, melted1/8 tsp Sea Saltjuice of 1 LemonDirections:Preheat oven to 300 degreesPeel, core and quarter the apples then thinly slice themLayer the apples in a lightly oiled 8×8 baking dishSqueeze the lemon over the applesIn a medium bowl mix together the almond meal, coconut, cinnamon, allspice and salt and stir to combine making sure to break up any chunksMelt the coconut oil with the maple syrup and add to the dry ingredients, mixing thoroughlyCrumble the topping evenly over the applesSprinkle the coconut sugar on topBake for 30 minutes, let cool for at least 10 before servingServe alone, with coconut milk ice cream, coconut milk, or almond milk!Enjoy!
