Mom's Whoopie Pie Cake

Ingredients
Cake:2 c. sugar1 3/4 c. flour3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa1 1/2 teas. baking powder1 1/2 teas. baking soda1 teas. salt2 eggs1 c. 1 % milk1/2 c. canola oil2 teas. vanilla1 c. boiling waterFilling and Icing:1 c. Crisco shortening1 (18 oz. jar) & 1 c. Marshmallow Fluff1 1/2 c. confectionery sugar~ 3 Tbl. 1 % milk
Directions
Cake:

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs,milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in boiling water - batter will be thin. Pour into either 2- 9in. floured and greased baking pans or 1 - 9'' x 13" floured and greased baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes on rack. Remove from pans and cool completely on rack.

While cake is baking make filling.

Filling:

1 c. Crisco Shortening
1 (18 oz. jar) and 1 c. Marshmallow Fluff
1 1/2 c. confectionery sugar
~3 Tbl. milk (add additional if needed)
