Lean Ground Sirloin 10% Fat, 14 oz Ditallini Pasta 4 oz uncookedBeans, red kidney 1/2 can, drained and rinsedBeans, great northern, 1/2 can, drained and rinsed4 Carrots, julienned2 Stalks Celery diced small3/4 Onion dicedBeef Broth, 3 cups+Tabasco Sauce, 1 tsp Garlic, 2 tsp finely choppedPetite Cut Diced Tomatoes 2 regular (15 oz) cansTomato Sauce 28 oz jarSalt, 1 tsp Pepper, black, 1 tsp Oregano, ground, 2.5 tsp
Brown the ground sirloin, drain fat
Prepare the Carrots, Celery and Onion and add to the pot with the remaining ingredients except for the pasta. (Note: I microwave the veggies for 5 minutes in a pyrex bowl with a few tablespoons of water to pre-cook and save time, but they can also be cooked in the soup. Allow to simmer for 1 hour or until veggies are tender and flavors have begun to meld. Add pasta and cook until pasta is tender.
Serving Size: Makes 8 generous bowls of soup
