Mashed Broccoli

Ingredients
One head of broccoli (I used a head weighing 478 grams) salt and pepper to taste, (not calculated in the nutritional information).
Directions
Cut up an entire head of broccoli and put within a two quart pot. Add water until broccoli is halfway covered. Cook broccoli until soft, (approximately twenty minutes). Remove broccoli from heat and dump water. Blend the steamed broccoli with a hand blender, or mash by hand to make a "mashed potato-like" consistency.
