Cheese Dill Bread

1 pkg. active dry yeast1/2 C. warm water1 C. cottage cheese (I used 1&)2 T. sugar1 T. dried minced onion2 t. dill seed (I used 1 t. seed and 1 t. dill weed)1 T. butter1 t. salt1/4 t. baking soda1 egg2 1/2 C. flour (I think wheat flour could be used for all or some of this.)additional butter and course salt
Dissolve yeast in water. In small saucepan, heat cheese to lukewarm. In large mixing bowl, combine yeast, cheese, sugar, onion, dill, butter salt, baking soda and egg. Mix thoroughly. Add flour; beat well. Cover, let rise until doubled in size, about an hour. Stir dough down; place in a greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish (mine is a round Pyrex.) Cover and let rise again until doubled, about 40 min. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 40 min. Remove from dish. Brush top with butter, sprinkle with course salt.
