Corn Bread - Fanny Farmer

Ingredients
1/4 Cup yellow cornmeal1 Cup flour1/3 Cup sugar3 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 Cup 1% milk1 egg, well beaten2 Tbsp melted butter
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425 F. Grease an 8-inch square cake pan. Mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add the milk, egg and butter and blend well. Spoon into the pan and bake for about 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

Serving Size: Makes 12 - 1.5 x 2" pieces
