Beans, pinto, 4 cup (remove)Water, tap, 7 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)*Cumin seed, 3 tbsp (remove)Chili powder, 5 tbsp (remove)Salt, 1 tbsp (remove)Garlic, 3 clove (remove)
Wash beans and remove any broken or bad beans. Add all ingredients to slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 4 hours, then reduce heat and cook on low for 2 hours until beans are soft. Depending on the texture you want drain liquid and reserve. Using a potato masher or a hand mixer, smash or mix your beans, add reserved liquid until you get your desired consistency.
