2 lbs lean ground beef2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes1 29 oz can of tomato sauce1 15 oz can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 15 oz can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained1 1/2 cup chopped onion1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper1/2 tsp white sugar1/2 tsp dried oregano1/2 tsp ground black pepper1 tsp salt1 1/2 tsp ground cumin1/4 cup chili powder
Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain the grease.
In a large pot, over high heat, combine all the ingredients.
Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 1 ˝ hours.
Serving Size: Makes 12, one cup servings
