1lb. lean Ground beef (93/7)1 large onion, chopped2 tblsp. Canola oil5 medium potatoes, chopped3 tsp ground cumin2 tsp salt1.5 tsp black pepper3 tsp. Garlic powder2cans (8oz) Chicken broth, 99% fat free Chiles, chopped, green, 7 oz Masa, 0.25 cup Water
Brown potatoes in oil in frying pan. Brown ground beef with onions in large pan (stock pot). Season potatoes with salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic. Combine potatoes with meat. Pour in chicken broth and stir in green chilis. Pour in masa (or flour) and stir in well. Let simmer until stew begins to thicken. Add water to bring stew to desired consistency (approximately 16oz OR 1 can of water)
