  • Number of Servings: 24
Ingredients
24 large strawberries, fresh1/2 cup cream cheese frosting (homemade or store-bought)
Directions
Prepare the strawberries:
Use a paring knife to carefully remove the green leaves and white hull (center) of each berry. Slice off the top 1/4 of each berry, reserving the tops.

Place the frosting in a resealable plastic bag with one corner snipped or a pastry bag with a very small tip.

Place the berries bottom side down on a platter. Working one at a time, pipe frosting onto the "top" of the berry. Replace the reserved berry top and pipe two to three dots onto the front of each berry to look like buttons and one dot on top to resemble the pom-pom on a hat.

These were a hit! Thank you! I made my own frosting with 2 T softened butter, 2 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 t vanilla and 1 c powdered sugar. The sugar did make the strawberries give up some juice, but overall, what a fun, cute treat! - 12/25/13

A friend of mine sent me a similar recipe only using whip cream instead of frosting, hoping I can find some nice strawberries during this season to give this a try! - 12/5/13

What exactly is 'cream cheese frosting'? Very cute idea, but remember that strawberries are among the dirtiest of produce in terms of pesticides. Buy organic berries. - 12/5/13

This was a great recipe but found out that it does not travel well so make and serve at home! - 12/5/18

I like store bought cream cheese frosting when I'm in a pinch but make my own frosting for this treat. I also divided up the frosting and added different flavored protein powders to the mix. Thanks for the share! - 12/20/18

If you live in the Northern hemisphere, this is definitely not the season for strawberries.
I would recommend it to replace it with a fruit of the season (less pricy, more tasty than "artificially grown strawberries," less pesticides, and more environmental-friendly.) Happy holidays. - 12/14/13

Awesome for holiday parties - but please make your own cream cheese icing because the canned kind is loaded with trans fats! - 12/10/13
