1 pkg active dry yeast1/4 cup warm water1 cup milk, scalded3 TBSPN sugar1/2 tsp salt3 1/4 cup flour3 TBSPN butter, softened or melted1/4 cup packed brown sugar2 TBSPN ground cinnamon
Soften the yeast in warm water. Let stand 5-10 minutes. Add milk to sugar and salt; mix thoroughly and cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and mix until smooth. Stir in yeast. add remaining flour gradually, mixing well. On a floured surface, knead dough until smooth. Put dough into a greased bowl; grease top of dough with oil.. Cover and let rise in warm place until dough is doubled (about 45 minutes). Punch down dough and roll in a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Brush with the butter. Spread 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up as a jelly roll and cut into 12 even slices. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 20-25 minutes.
