Half gallon of apple cider1 bottle of red wine1 1/2 cups brandy1 orange (peel removed in strips, halved, and juice squeezed)1/2 cup sugar1/2 TSP cardamom seeds1/2 TSP clove1/2 TSP crushed nutmeg3 cinnamon sticks1/4 TSP pepper corns
In a crock pot, set to high add your apple cider, orange with peel and juice, sugar, cardamom, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks and pepper corns.
Let this steep for no less than three hours.
Once the spices have really steeped with the apple cider, you can add the red wine and brandy to the crock pot.
Turn your crock pot down to low and let this heat until warmed through.
You don't want to cook the alcohol off, unless that is what you are going for.
You can keep this warm in your crock pot
