Slow cooker Ham and bean soup

Ingredients
2 Cans White beans rinsed(appx 3.5 servings/can)1 TBs tomato paste2 tsp vegetable boullion (or 2 C broth)4 C water1.5 C Diced ham (1/4 inch cubes)1 ham bone (if available)1/2 C raw carrots cubed/coarse chop1 tsp each Garlic/onion powder (or fresh) to taste1 tsp salt (optional)1/2 tsp (appx) celery seed. (I don't like fresh celery in my soups.
Directions
Mash one can of beans before adding to 6 quart crockpot. Add all the other ingredients and give a good stir. Cook until carrots are tender. approx 3.5 hours on high. remove bone. Check seasonings and thickness and adjust accordingly.
