Brussels Sprouts Gratin

Ingredients
2 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and quartered3 sl bacon, cooked4 scallions, finely sliced1 C water1 sl white bread, blended into crumbs1 T margarine
Directions
Fry bacon in a skillet. Set aside.
Add scallions to skillet and brown lightly.
Add water and brussels sprouts to frying pan and cover with a lid. Cook about 10 minutes or sprouts are just about tender.
Whirl bread in blender to produce coarse crumbs.
Melt margarine in frying pan. Stir in crumbs an cook until lightly browned.
Crumble bacon and sprinkle into crumb mixture.
Pour into brussels sprouts. Mix well and pour into a greased, oven-proof bowl. Place under broiler for 5 minutes or until top begins to brown.
Serve piping hot.
