Ingredients
1 1/2 pound 93% ground beef8 oz mushrooms or more if you like1 can diced tomatoes2 cans tomato sauce1 can tomato paste14 oz red wine ( I prefer merlot)15 oz water2 Tbsp dried chopped onion, or fresh (whichever)2 Tbsp Italian seasoning1 Tbsp Marjoram1 tsp parsley1 Tbsp oregano1 Tbsp basil1 tsp thyme1/2 tsp Rosemary6 shots of Tabasco ( about 1 tsp)4 or more cloves of garlic1/2 tsp pepper1/2 tsp salt2 Tbsp brown sugar ( helps cut the acid in tomato)
Directions
brown meat and drain fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer... Additional seasoning may be added to taste

    Loved this with the wine, had to recreate this just because I have picky eaters who do not like tabasco or mushrooms, I omitted the mushrooms and tabasco and replaced them with some garlic powder,celery salt and red pepper flakes. Thank you for sharing - 2/27/14
