Homemade Won-tons (each)

Ingredients
This is for a large batch that can be frozen:2 lbs ground beef 97% lean1 lb Napa Cabbage finely chopped 100 grams chopped green onions120 grams finely grated carrotscrushed garlic, soy sauce, ginger3 packages (approx 48 count) Won-Ton Wrappers
Directions
Mix all ingredients except for Won Ton Wrappers thoroughly. Season with plenty of freshly crushed garlic, soy sauce and ginger. Fill Won Ton Wrappers with one heaping teaspoon of filling each (approx 12 grams). Fold into triangles, brushing with some water to seal edges. Fold long corners and squeeze together again to create a pouch.
These can be boiled in some chicken broth for Won Ton soup or baked. To bake spray a baking sheet with non stick spray, lay single layer of Won Tons on sheet, spray with more cooking spray and bake at 350 until golden brown.

    This was my first time making wontons and wasn't sure how baking them would turn out. They were very good and I liked the veggies in them. I cut the recipe into 1/4 and it worked out well. Not quite the same texture of fried, but well worth the saved fat and calories. - 3/8/14
