Whole Wheat Bran Pancakes

Ingredients
1 c. Whole Wheat Floir1/4 c. Wheat Bran1 tbs. baking powder1 tsp salt1 tbs sugar substitute (I use Stevia)1/4 c. egg beater (or 2 egg whites for less calories) + 1 egg1 c. 1% milk (or skim with less calories)2 small pureed apples + 1 tbs water+ 1/2 tbs canola oil
Directions
Puree apple in blender or food processor. Add canola oil.

In a blow, mix together whole wheat flour, wheat bran, baking powder, salt, sugar substitute.

In another bowl combine wet ingredients-- Eggs, milk, add oil and apple sauce mixture.

Blend wet and dry ingredients. Can add fruit at this time (for additional calories) or while cooking.

Heat griddle, spray with no fat cooking spray-- measure 1/4 c. of mix. Cook pancake until top gets bubbly-- then flip.

Serve with fresh fruit, syrup (on the side to reduce amount used!) whip cream, or anything else desired. Enjoy!
